Tazzie, born Taborah Reed on October 27th, 1987 in Fort Worth,TX, is the first lady of Bangin Hitz Inc. Knowing she was destined to be a star, Tazzie quickly took on the love for music. She began writing poetry at 7 years of age after her parent's divorced and it hasn't stopped since. Growing up as an only child for most of her younger years, she needed something to do that would keep her entertained and motivated. She then decided to turn her poetry into songs. She started off writing R&B songs for her friends and family that were musically inclined as well. This still wasn't enough for Tazzieshe needed something she could relate to, and a way to express herself to the world. She loved the art of writing and continued to pursue her career as a songwriter/MC. In 2002, Tazzie and three other family members started an all female group called U-NEEK. The group consisted of Tazzie's cousins, Ashley and Brittany, and childhood friend, Natonya. The three of them blessed the mic with their beautiful voices and Tazzie blessed the mic with her powerful lyrics. Ashley later left the group and the remaining three girls changed the name of the group to BBT(Beautiful Black Teens). After about a year and a half, the group finally split and went their separate ways to pursue their solo careers. In 2004, Tazzie and two other female MCs started an all girl rap group called UGQ(UndaGround Queenz). The group consisted of Raven and childhood friend, Meka. The group released a mixtape entitled "Royal Blood" in 2005 and were planning on releasing the follow up entitled "Reigning Queenz" in the Spring of 2006. Things suddenly took a turn and UGQ split. After realizing she would rather be a solo artist, Tazzie focused on getting her music heard. Late 2006, Tazzie was signed to an independent label called Military Mind Productions and it's been nothing but progress since. The owner of the label later changed the name to Bangin Hitz Inc and it's still the home of Tazzie today. "Music is and always will be therapy for me", says the young, talented artist. "Everyone has a story to tell. Now how we choose to tell it is our choice. I feel that I have so much to say and there are so many people out there anxious to listen. I'm choosing to let my story bleed from my pen, onto the paper, and through the mic for all the world to hear."
