After Leonards passing on Nov 7th, 2016, Tal released the following statement on her social media pages:

I had the privilege of spending time with Leonard Cohen, a rare and precious human who was, and remains, a profound inspiration.
He was as dedicated to his personal evolution as he was the mastery of his craft. In fact, for him they were one in the same- a radically uncommon phenomenon in the entertainment business, and quite frankly, in the world.
His tireless work ethic, values and kind-hearted nature set a bar-raising example as to what it means to be an artist. If we can all adopt even a fraction of the discipline and self-inquiry that Leonard practiced, we would begin to create a much more loving and unified planet.
I am deeply grateful to Leonard for welcoming me into his home and rehearsal space with a family-like hospitality, and offering me tremendous support, both personally and professionally.
I feel honored that he listened to my music so attentively, and with curiosity and insight. I cherish every last word of the conversations we had, electronically and in person. The wisdom, knowledge and experience that Leonard generously imparted is deeply ingrained in my heart.
We will be hearing from him
Long after he's gone
A hundred floors above us
In the Tower of Song
I love you and miss you Leonard ❤️
