TAKEN is the culmination of years of songwriting and subesquent production work by baltimore native JIM BENSON (songwriter, guitarist, and back ground vocalist) with the help of lead vocalist David Erickson. The full Taken line-up now includes, bassist RYAN BOOTH. In BENSON's home based recording studio countless hours and days have been spent carefully crafting powerfully melodic songs that will catch your attention and never let go. As for TAKEN's live shows, they are a mix between alternative, acoustic and pop rock. TAKEN's live shows takes audiences captive with emotional vocals and intense rhythms making for a cathartic interactive experience. JIM BENSON has developed a songwriting style that is unique and thought provoking. Songs like "THE FIFTH YEAR" and "WITHOUT A SOUND" have quickly become crowd favorites. Taken has shared the stage with such bands as, LOVE SEED MAMA JUMP and Jimmies Chicken Shack at the Recher Theatre in Towson, MD, VH1's FLICKERSTIK at local hot spot Fletcher's Bar, ATLANTIC RECORDS recording artist HALESTORM at Whiskey Dix saloon in Philadelphia, PA.
