Systematic Sounds

Systematic Sounds was started by David Munro and Andrew Blevin at the beginning of 2007. The duo started started recording their early demos and before too long put their collection of breakbeat and electronica tracks into a live situation. This was done through a dual laptop, Ableton Live setup, coupled with some live synths. After a year of house parties and Dj sets, Systematic Sounds gained two new members.



These two new members Chris Blevin and Kurt Boys completed the live show and dramatically changed the direction of the band. Their first show with the new lineup was a houseparty which featured Kurt on drums, Chris on the synth, Andrew on guitar and samples, and Dave on vocals. The new lineup worked perfectly and the four boys started a run of shows playing with bands such as Regurgitator, Spod, Yellowbird, and Billy Jean Demos. These shows were met with varying success, from packed dancefloors with metal-heads moshing, to getting pulled off stage half way through a set due to run-ins with members of the crowd.



In mid 2008 the first real release was completed by the four boys in the form of a four track E.P (Available on iTunes International). This E.P combines the boys' love of breakbeat and electronica such as The Prodigy and Chemical Brothers with their past experience in metal and hardcore bands. The result is a guitar-driven electronic assault with hard-hitting vocal delivery, wailing synths, and tough dance driven beats.



Systematic Sounds is an answer to the fucked up state of electronica in Australia, they are bringing back some excitement and energy, and fucking off anything to do with the 80's.



Systematic Sounds' next release is due in early 2009.
