One of the first Mortal Kombat games I've ever played was MK2. When I was a little kid at the time, I was fucking amazed. The fighters looked real, the blood was spilled in gallons, and the whole fatality thing? Dude, you have no idea just how much fun that was. I think I can safely say that this game was one of the reasons why I turned out the way I did. Oh well, at least I'm happy.
The music of MK2 was rather good, too. My favorite would have to be character select screen theme. Sure, it's rather short and repetitive, but I feel as if it captures the true essence of what Mortal Kombat is supposed to be: A martial-arts game set in ancient China. It's certainly got that peculiar sound to it, at the very least.
Enough of my rambling though. Enjoy!
