This song means a lot to me. I created this piece of art with a beautiful soul, light, Energy and spirit @producedbyk2 Our entire creative experience together and his life in general taught me how precious my physical existence is on this planet and how literally every minute matters. Every time I hear our song I think of you K2 and I think of what you taught me.

In January 2011 I was pursuing a possible deal with Epic Records after gaining exposure from my Love on Top video that went viral. They had me set to meet a lot of songwriters/producers. K2 was one of the producers/songwriters I was scheduled to meet during my Lock Out session at Quad. He walked into studio Q2 and set in front of the board with the biggest smile ever and this amazing illuminating energy. I remember feeling so comfortable with him, like I knew him for years. We had great vibes too. K2 played a simple piano track for me and I knew that was the one. The Hook came to me immediately and then BAM we were locked in for sessions for the week. We worked so well together.


We would start our mornings at 11am and sometimes end the next morning at 5am. K2 would commute every day to the studio from New Jersey. He was so focused, ambitious and disciplined in his craft. I loved his drive and how much fun he had doing what he loved. "You Don't Even Know Me" was birthed from these sessions. Through all my travels, theatre jobs, personal dramas, and broken promises with deals we made efforts to finish "You Don't Even Know", but we never did. It still remains a ruf. In 2014, K2 transitioned from the physical realm at the age of 26.... I feel his presence writing this.... but our song he left me with, memories, beautiful words, my heart filled with his pure love and a reminder to make the most of everyday..... share your gift with the world and work on the things you excel in..... to go to higher and higher levels. Finish what you start. Tomorrow isn't promised. All we have is right NOW.

K2 was a friend, a musical genius, so talented at producing, writing, vocal arranging, being an inspiration. And I miss him. I feel your spirit with me K2 every time I hear our song and I'm reminded to get to work.
