There are numerous concerns/problems when recording a speaker demonstration. Microphone type & placement alter the sound DRASTICALLY. The difference between two different speakers and two different mic locations can be equally huge. I recorded all of these with the same mic location, and it wasn't the location I would have chosen for each individual speaker if I was trying to find the ideal sound for each individual speaker. Not to mention the fact that I'm using a 1x12 isolation cabinet, and many people are going to be running a 2x12 or 4x12 speaker configuration with different gear.

The moral of the story here is that this can only be used as a reference for how each speaker has characteristics that are unique to itself, and this video should help to display some of those characteristics in the context of an overdriven/distorted guitar tone suitable for this type of music. I strongly urge you to check out every possible resource available (sound clips, videos, demos, etc...) before buying a speaker you haven't had experience with. I've purchased 4 Eminence speakers now, and I was very surprised by which ones I favored.
