A preview of music from jazz singer Suzanna Smith's highly-anticipated debut album, 'Halfway Between Heaven & Love'. This video takes us on a romp through the bittersweet saudade, joyous funk, beguiling melodies and buoyant grooves on the new album. Oakland-based jazz singer Suzanna Smith combines the confessional imperative of a singer/songwriter with the rhythmic acuity of a jazz chanteuse. She wrote the lyrics for nine of the album's 13 tracks while collaborating on the music of five songs with pianist/keyboardist Michael Coleman.

'Halfway Between Heaven & Love' is produced by Suzanna Smith and co-produced by vocalist Kitty Margolis. The album features Suzanna Smith (v), Michael Coleman (p), Ken Husbands (g & bouzouki), Brandon Essex (b), and Jon Arkin (d). Special guests include Michael O'Neill (sax), Rob Ewing (trombone), Cory Wright (sax & flute), Jordan Glenn (marimba & percussion) and Hamir Atwal (d).

'Halfway Between Heaven & Love' will be available November 19, 2013.
