When Rob Holliday and Monti met on an American tour as a live band members of uk act Curve no one guessed what was to come of it.realising they shared The same musical interests and influences led the two to join forces and start working in the studio on some material under the name sulpher founded in 1999 by Rob and Monti they released their debut album in the fall of 2002 'Spray ' is for fans of industrial rock and is an absolute MUST!

The band toured throughout Germany in 2002 at various festivals,and a tour as a special guest of The 69 Eyes, and in early 2003 the Sisters of Mercy. The highlight of their career so far was support slot with Marilyn Manson in Dresden, which the band played in front of a 12,000 sold out show. The band consists of Rob Holliday (vocals / guitar), Monti (Drums / Programming), a live bassist, and various live keyboard players .

In the UK Sulpher were hailed in many rock magazines as the genre's new hope and had just released their debut record, 'Spray' to much acclaim and as a result they secured national tours with the some of the scene's biggest and best. They received an award for "Best British Heavy Metal band." their track ' fear me ' was used for the u.s.a 2002 winter olympic games promo ads throughout movie theatres and prime time t.v in the states
