Danny “Styles” Schofield comes from a diverse musical background. He started writing music and playing the piano at the age of fifteen. Styles’s musical expertise and abilities are a product of self-teaching and raw talent, having never taken a single lesson. He began producing at the early age of seventeen while a freshman in college. After leaving college, Styles returned to Miami and began pursuing music fulltime. He began his career as a producer for Sony/BMG’s International Division in 2001 and spent 2 ½ years overseas producing music for various pop groups before returning to the States. In 2005, he left Sony for an independent production company called styles Movement where he met DJ styles. After a period of struggle, the group finally garnered national attention with the smash hit “This Is Why I’m Hot” off the BM produced, debut album from hip-hop artist Mims. In 2007, Styles and styles formed the rock group Purple Popcorn, which quickly accomplished four major television performances, two advertising placements, and a number one selling ringtone. In 2008, Styles put together a powerhouse group of musicians and began his second foray into artistry with the band Solar Mesh.
