BIOGRAPHY

DIRTeRED was born to entertain. He was born between a rock and a hard place in South Florida’s own Carver Ranches neighborhood in Hollywood, Florida. His father was in maximum-security prison from day one leaving his mother to provide for the family herself. By the age of fourteen DIRTeRED was already notorious in the streets of one of Florida’s most dangerous, crime-ridden neighborhoods. He knew chances of paying for college tuition were slim to none and a job to support his family would be difficult to obtain. DIRTeRED had no other option but to speak and reflect on what he knew about best, the streets. Rapping, or as he likes to call it “poetry on a beat” was “DIRTeREDs way out. With DIRTeRED’s bone chilling tales about the struggles of street life combined with his abstract and unique voice, there was no other choice but to become a fan. In the game for over ten years, DIRTeREDs area of influence and fan base grew to a international level. With “I’m a Gangster” produced by Scott Storch on European radio stations and “Kick in the Door” with Rick Ross on heavy rotation locally, record executives and tastemakers begin to take notice. When “RED” met the Diaz Brothers and was able to obtain top-notch production, studio time, and collaborations his name took off. Over the last few years he has been in the studio collaborating with the hit makers in the hip- hop arena including 50 Cent, Lloyd Banks, Akon, Trick Daddy, Brisco, Sizzla, Rick Ross, and Scott Storch. DIRTeRED has been featured on notable mixtape DJ’s projects such as DJ Smallz, DJ EFN, DJ Epps and DJ Scream. In 2006 DIRTeRED appeared on DJ Khaleds star studded album “Listenn” on a song called “The Future of Dade.” He has performed on the same stage as Bun B, Rick Ross, Trina, Mims, Trick Daddy, Young Buck, Snoop Dogg, T-Pain, and Pretty Ricky as well as being the headliner at the Vokal Showcase at Club Cristal in South Beach. In November 2006 DIRTeRED sold out South Beach’s premiere African-American club, “Sobe Live,” in a performance many called “inspiring” and “unforgettable.” DIRTeRED has been featured in OZONE magazines “Patiently Waiting” and got a large write up and feature article in the 2007 OZONE Magazine memorial day edition issue. He is currently working with The Blackout Movement, producers of “This is Why I’m Hot” and putting together his mixtape which will be hosted by underground mixtape king Bigga Rankin. DIRTeRED is a true workaholic, known to be the last one in the studio. His work ethic is truly unmatchable and you can tell music is not just a hobby, its his passion and life. He has struggled, he has grinded, and it is time to let the world hear his story.
