Steinar Raknes playing Rowland Salley's, Killing The Blues using his double bass and a blues harpist. This rather stark version is addicting. I've added photos of his native Norway among candid shots of him. He heads his group, Stillhouse, and a jazz quartet. He's Norway's premier jazz bassist and songwriter, tours in South America, Japan, and is opening for Little Feat this coming winter. Enjoy!
