Poltimore Sessions | Steve Tilston - Full Set - Video
PUBLISHED:  Mar 28, 2016
DESCRIPTION:
XTV, Exeposé Music and Poltimore Festival are proud to present the Poltimore Sessions, combining the best music of the South West in one of its most historic and striking settings.

“The more you listen, the more there is to discover.”

This is how Whispering Bob Harris described the music of Steve Tilston, one of the folk genre’s most celebrated songsmiths. The story of Steve’s lost letter from John Lennon made his life the inspiration for Hollywood’s blockbuster Danny Collins, featuring Al Pacino. He described his first novel, All for Poor Jack, as the longest song he’s ever written, receiving praise from Bob Dylan among others. His music was integral to Bristol’s powerhouse folk and blues scene in the 1960s and 70s, he’s stopped by Later with Jools Holland and the BBC Four Songwriters’ Circle, he’s had his music recorded by Fairport Convention, and his classic ‘Here’s to Tom Paine’ has featured in Bruce Springsteen’s live setlist. Steve’s virtuosity on acoustic and 10-string guitars have taken him all around the globe, and now he’s in the Poltimore Courtyard, with some of his latest music.

Produced by Chris Filsell, Tristan Gatward, Cara Ludlow and Joe Stewart.
