DESCRIPTION:
The audience again went wild after this improvisational performance by Beat Rhino and Abbos Kosimov. This represents the project’s first LIVE demonstration of beatbox and middle eastern hand drums. We initially experimented with this combination in the studio on the 2010 album The Hybrid (http://www.cdbaby.com/cd/Stereognosis): e.g. the opening track Sumerian Breakbeat featuring beatboxer Blake Lewis and percussionist Faisal Zedan, and the second track Bağlama Boxer featuring beatboxer Fatty K and percussionist Misirli Ahmet. We will certainly be exploring this formula in much more depth on our upcoming album, which is already underway.
