Lost My Dog welcome Stefano Esposito, a young Italian producer with a rapidly growing reputation, to their roster on the 'Bowmore Drinker EP', released in late July. With music on labels such as Local Talk, Aparrel, Affin and Four Fingers Hand the 20 year old has already caught the ears of DJs such as Sneak, Seth Troxler, Steve Lawler and Brothers Vibe with the brand of deep house evidenced on his three original tracks here. Stefano's take on deep house is a little left of centre at times; thoughtful and enticing, while still bringing solid grooves for getting things warmed up or cooled down. A remix of 'Frog Pond' by the mysterious deep house sensation Moodtrap adds more bite to the original version and fattens out the bass into a heads-down throbber.

Born in Naples in 1992 Stefano Esposito began making a name for himself playing the cities clubs and making tracks for his sets that drew inspiration from legendary artists like Todd Terry, Kerri Chandler, Masters At Work, 95 North and DJ Sneak. His first release, the 'Acid Groove EP' came in 2011 courtesy of the Four Fingers Hand imprint and caused a stir by entering Beatport's top 100 Deep House chart. More labels began to line up for his services of producing deep house with an old school twist, including the aforementioned Local Talk, Aparrel and Affin.

Having shed the identity of their existing current producer / DJ project, the pair behind Moodtrap prefer to remain anonymous in a bid to simply let their music do the talking and not succumb to outside pressures or expectations. Having first appeared with a single track on the wonderfully inimitable Tsuba Records, Moodtrap decided to exclusively release their original music on Kevin Griffiths' imprint. Luckily for us at Lost My Dog they are open to remix opportunities and being huge fans of their productions we snapped up the chance to become just the third label they have worked with (the other being Black Key).
