"Pour toute une génération, le nom de STAND TALL évoque les danses du milieu des années 90, avec l'impressionant crew de DJ (Féfé Typical, Nuttea, Mc Janik, Daddy Mory, Dixie Culture, Jah Mike, Brother Jimmy, Sista Bea…) qui les suivait de près. Mais c'est bien plus tôt que les différents acteurs du sound commencent leurs carrières. Il faut remonter à la fin des 80's, pour retrouver les racines de la future équipe Stand Tall, dans le sound HIGH FIGHT International. De 87 à 93, le crew composé de TipTop, Polino, Daddy Nuttea, Don Lickshot et Tonton David, s'imposent sur la scène sound system parisenne. Fin 1993 Stand Tall est établit dans la capitale française comme une sono d'importance, aux cotés de Blues Party, Scallawax ou King Dragon. Porté par Polino à la selection, et Tip Top le sound repose aussi solidement sur le crew de DJ qui officient en live sur le set. Fidèle à son esprit du début, le Stand Tall s'entoure d'une nouvelle génération d'artistes comme Mr Face, Mad Killah et Lee Vayah B, rejoint par le "jeune vétéran"Daddy Mory(de retour à la "maison") et Apach autrement dit la « Showsky Family ».
