Spatha

Spatha is a classical guitar duet based in Greenville, South Carolina. Formed in 2003 by noted classical guitarists Shawn Allen and Brandon Dyke, they have since performed countless concerts and released a critically acclaimed cd. Determined to break the boundaries of traditional classical repertoire, their music incorporates elements of classical, jazz, latin, 20th century, and virtually every other style one can think of. Their concerts can range from Bach to Phillip Glass to Jobim, and their technical mastery and daring arrangements make for a unique and exhilirating listening experience.

Listeners of all genres of music are certain to take notice of their innovative approach to the duet format.

Both have degrees in Guitar Performance, with exhorbitant student loans to show for it.
