Hawkwind - Space Ritual - Vol. 2 [FULL ALBUM] - Video
PUBLISHED:  Nov 20, 2014
DESCRIPTION:
Did you watch Hawkwind play on New Years Eve's Eve 1972? Well this was that gig. The 30th of December 1972
Gig was reviewed by Dave Thompson as follows, however I used to find bands I liked I bought first before getting grumpy with them.
Dave says:
One more poorly packaged hybrid collection combining highlights of two of the most ubiquitous collections in the entire Hawkwind catalog. We begin with the barely mixed and rudely distorted 1972 Brixton Sundown performance that was first broached on Space Ritual, Vol. 2, continue on through the BBC radio and live recordings that comprised the original (and, at the time, groundbreaking)Text of Festival album, and wind up with yet another frustratingly, pointlessly disjointed journey into the cobwebbed corners of "classic" Hawkwind. The question is, who can such releases possibly be targeted towards? Confirmed Hawkwind fans have been burned by this same material so many times that they're never going to fall for it again, and the merely curious will certainly plump for something with, if nothing else, a decent looking cover.
