Veratu is US Black Metal, a band focused totally to conspirations themes, as well as the secret societies, whose black metal structure is atmospheric with experimental approach.

The idea of Veratu was conceived sometime in the winter of 2004 by Asteroth Abhor in an attempt to fashion a vehicle for his tormented vision of Black Metal. It all started as a undeveloped concept and didn't fully blossom into true form until the fall of '05. At that time a group finally coalesced that shared Asteroth's goal of creating the artistic vision that he saw as the ultimate purpose of what Veratu could truly be. Asteroth took his place at the keys, long time friend Demorgoron was in charge of riffs, and recent acquaintance Shadow took upon himself the duties of lead singer. Hellstorm and Aulrin of Darkness Eternum were brought in as session drummers and, for a short time, Tye, a friend of Demorgoron, was tapped to play bass. At last the circle was complete and Veratu could now take its place as heirs to a rich dynasty of evil, corrupted music.
