So I embark upon my journey, the trip doesn't take long,
I step out of my time machine, but something has gone wrong

I approach myselves and tip our hat and start to shoot the breeze;
one me hurries off, as if we've got somewhere to be,
I shrug and start a conversation with the other me,
we briefly speak, then he and me both hear our time machine.

It arrives again, and I come out, and start to say hello,
future me then takes his cue, and promptly starts to go,
he walks past me and past me, and leaves in the time machine,
I've got a feeling that when I show up, I'll quickly follow me.

I jump into the time machine, and take a break to breath,
all this timey-wimey stuff is getting to my head,
but now I'm lonely, so I'm going back to do it all again
