Something Called U

THE BROADYS, originates from Mont-Tremblant, Canada. Composed of Dominic Parent (vocal / guitar), Martin Lefort (drums) and Mathieu Lamarche (bass), the band is an explosive Rock-Alternative trio with more than twelve years of artistic experience. Emerging from Montreal’s underground bands such as DEMENTIA, REDCORE, NOMANZONE, LOST and FOUND and COLECTIVO. The boys from SOMETHING CALLED U have been on stage for more than 5 years, all around Quebec and Ontario. In fall 2008, they put their material to test in the finals at the BODOG BATTLE OF THE BAND CONTEST. They recorded several songs on myspace.com and invested in the album pre-production. The band also had their music (RIDE) featured in a broadcast show (H2SNOW) on the RDS sport’s network.



David Laflèche (Bons Baisers de France, Caracol, Vincent Vallières, ADISQ) is engineering their first album in Montreal’s Beatbox Music studio. In the summer of 2009, Settimio Di Cori decides to put together with VIDEOTRON CORP a reality show (ROCK STUDIO) aired on Canal Vox, featuring the band’s very beginnings, live in shows and at various recording sessions. They than became THE BROADYS . It is sure to please rock fans and intense groove lovers.THE BROADYS est un groupe originaire de Mont-Tremblant au Canada. Émergeant de l’underground Montréalais avec des groupes dont DEMENTIA,REDCORE,NOMANZONE, LOST and FOUND et d’autres tels que COLECTIVO. Les membres du groupe SOMETHING CALLED U ont su explorer, depuis 2005, à travers différentes scènes du Québec et de l’Ontario, des sons authentiques et des rythmes endiablés. En 2008, ils participent à la finale du concours Bodog Battle of the Band. Ils enregistrent ensuite diverses chansons sur myspace.com et se prépare en pré-production d’album. Le band voit ainsi leur musique (RIDE) utilisé dans une production télévisé H2SNOW sur les ondes du réseau des sports RDS. En 2009, David Laflèche (Bons Baisers de France, Caracol, Vincent Vallières, ADISQ) entreprend de réaliser leur premier album, dont la sortie est prévue en mars 2010, au studio BEATBOX Musique à Montréal. À l’été 2009, Settimio Di Cori décide avec VIDEOTRON de produire l’émission ROCK STUDIO (en ondes sur Canal Vox), qui suivra le band, devenu THE BROADYS , partout en studio et à tous ses spectacles. Des mélodies accrocheuses aux sensations fortes, THE BROADYS saura combler les amateurs et adeptes de grooves intenses.
