Featuring vocalist Jay Sosnicki, guitarists Joe Favazza and Drew Simon, bassist Curt Remington, and drummer Don McCurdy, Mojo Rib has spent the last decade delivering the kind of bluesy, boozy, hip-swiveling hard rock that hasn't been seen in America since the halcyon days of Van Halen.

“We take a real blue-collar approach to what we did. We’re of the Ramones, AC/DC, Motorhead school -- get on stage, get the job done, and bring it every time. The audience deserves nothing less.”

For the uninitiated, the YouTube video for “Lucky In The Order” crunches the Mojo Rib ethos into two-and-a-half minutes of pure rock dynamite: a classic riff, a driving backbeat and killer chorus, and always, the relentless energy of the band and its seemingly-possessed frontman.

What has driven the band over its tumultuous, decade-long journey? “Inspiration is a really big part of the equation,” says Sosnicki. “The bands that always blew my mind, like KISS, Van Halen, Guns ‘n Roses and Jane’s Addiction were more than just their music, they were rock ‘n roll as a lifestyle, as something to believe in. I like to think we carry that torch for the next generation of hard rock riff-raff.”

Perhaps this is the secret of Mojo Rib’s cross-generational appeal. “A good time never goes out of style,” laughs Sosnicki, “And that’s what rock ‘n roll has always meant to me. When Ozzy sings rock ‘n roll is my religion and my law, I totally get that. Rock ‘n Roll gave me my direction in life. Rock ‘n Roll still matters.”
