The equipment I used to record this song was an Epiphone Les Paul Gold Top, and the AmpKit amp on my iPhone. The preset I used was Modern Metal Lead for the dirty/crunch parts, and Modern clean for the clean intro.

Paradise City was a song released by the Hollywood rock n roll band Guns n Roses in November 1988, having previously been released as the sixth song on the band's debut album Appetite For Destruction the previous year in 1987. The song reached number 6 in the UK singles chart and also got into the top ten in the American Billboard chart.

Legend has it that the song was written in the back of a van on the way home from a performance in San Francisco buy all members of the band. Duff and Izzy started playing the song on acoustic guitars, when Slash and Axl started singing the melody. The Paradise City Video features footage of the band's legendary performance supporting Aerosmith and Deep Purple at the Giants Stadium in East Rutherfordd New Jersey, as well as their performance at the Monsters Of Rock festival at Donnington in Derbyshire, UK.

The Paradise City Guitar Solo is regarded as one of the greatest of all time, and bares a resemblance the Freebird guitar solo by Lynyrd Skynyrd, due to it's frenetic nature and the way it finishes the song. Having played this song for over 20 years, I'm confident in saying that this is the most accurate cover of the Paradise City Guitar Solo. The song was a staple of the bands live set and with it's upbeat feel and frantic outro guitar solo, was always going to be an obvious choice to close every performance.
