N.M.G. Music Presents Visionary Hear Them Out Project
for Trinidad Carnival 2017
Trinidad and Tobago-based production house N.M.G. Music presents its new, concept-driven compilation EP Hear Them Out, which is set to take center stage at the 2017 Trinidad Carnival season and will be available worldwide from FOX FUSE. Featuring red-hot soca anthems that team a seasoned soca artist with a rising sensation on each song, Hear Them Out is bound to accomplish its ambitious goal of attracting socaaficionados to upcoming talents in the bubbling genre.
This ambitious feat is the brainchild of producer @NikholaiGreene, who envisions an industry where underground or lesser-known acts can have equal opportunity and access to the tools they need, in order to breakout in the saturated landscape of soca. “The idea is to take young talents and team them up with the more established artists as mentors,” reveals Greene. “This will give them an opportunity to learn and understand the industry, while teaching them the different stages of creating a good song, from writing to structuring and beyond.” It is a vision Greene hopes to see fulfilled not just for this upcoming season but for every carnival, as his way of injecting fresh breath into the soca scene, each year.
Hear Them Out delivers three groovy soca gems with “DohBlame It” by Kevin Dodds and 5 Star Akil, “Gold” by The Writer and GBM Nutron, and “Reflections” by TevinHartman and Sekon Sta. All the tracks were produced by Greene for his own imprint N.M.G. Music and the collection perfectly captures the essence of carnival. He launched N.M.G. Music. in 2015 and with visionary releases such as the Hear Them Out project, continues to put his star touch on the sound of soca.
