Skinny Patrini are an interesting and enormously productive duo
created by two extraordinary people, Anna Patrini and Michael
'Skinny' Skorka. She does vocals and is responsible for their visual side whereas he
is responsible for beats, instruments and production.
It is very difficult to describe the music they create. Some people
might hear the sounds of the 80s, some might hear the sounds of the
90s. Skinny Patrini say that they create music which may only be
compared to. Skinny Patrini. Their debut album "Duty Free",
acclaimed by the critics, was released in Poland on the 11th of
November 2008 and has already gained a lot of positive reviews.
Generally speaking, they create sounds which one could name either as
'electro-clash' or 'electro-punk', though it is vital to say that
there aren't any bands on the Polish music scene, which would be comparable and as
excentric and powerful as they are.
Every single concert by Skinny Patrini is not only a new musical
experience, but also an unforgettable performance. Dancing, screaming,
crawling on stage, psychedelic visuals, cool make-ups and outstanding
outfits are indispensable elements of their concerts.
They performed in the most important clubs on the map of Poland
(Sfinks700 and Sixty9 in Sopot; Hydrozagadka, Saturator, Tomba Tomba, Le
Madame, M25, Powiekszenie in Warsaw; Cafe Mięsna, Stara Rzeznia and Pod Minoga in Poznan; Droga Do Mekki in
Wroclaw and so on and so forth). In 2009r they were invited to play
at the most famous Polish Festivals (Selector Festival in Cracow,
Heineken Open'er Festival in Gdynia, MTV GDM Festival in Gdansk,
Castle Party in BolkowOff-Festival in Myslowice, BFM Festival in Bydgoszcz and Orange
Warsaw Festival In Warsaw).
Throughout their whole carrer, Skinny Patrini performed together with the likes of Ladytron, Fischerspooner,
Adriano Canzian, Adam-Sky, MGMT, Calvin Harris, N.E.R.D., Mt Sims, Peter Glam, Stereo Total, CSS, Grace Jones, BRMC, etc.).
As they're about to release their second album, "SEX", they would love to promote it on several
concerts abroad - they have already played in Barcelona, Berlin, Paris,
Vilnius, Budapest, Dublin, Cork, Gallway, Riga, St Petersburg and Shanghai.
Skinny Patrini are also about to release a limited edition "Re mixes"
album, which will include remixes by Adriano Canzian, Adam-Sky, !Nylon Me, Skinny and many more.
They've released their second album "SEX" in June 2012. It is now available as a CD in Poland. Soon, distributed by EMI, it will be available worldwide.
