Sisters Farrah & Tiffany Dowell, "Sister," grew up singing at an apostolic church in Pennsylvania. Their ministry began in 2001, as they started receiving requests to sing at community events & churches of all denominations throughout the Tri-State and Mid-Atlantic regions. They have had the privilege of sharing their music at events sponsored by Youth for Christ, Boys & Girls Club of America, NAACP, Ripken Baseball, Aberdeen Proving Ground, the American Red Cross and the American Cancer Society; as well as various women's, youth and praise & worship conferences. Currently, they are both praise & worship leaders at a non-denominational church in Delaware. In 2004, they received a citation from Baltimore Mayor (now Maryland Governor) Martin O'Malley for reaching out to at-risk neighborhoods through their goodwill and ministry efforts. In late 2005, Tiffany was selected as a semi-finalist in the Rising Star Tour, which was hosted by Vickie Winans at The Lyric Opera House in Baltimore, MD. Sister has been privileged to share the stage with various Christian artists. In early 2008, Sister appeared as backup vocalists on a live recording by Norman Hutchins entitled Spontaneous Praise Volume One. In late 2009, they sang behind Kurt Carr & The Kurt Carr Singers for a Bobby Jones Gospel taping, which aired on BET in March of 2010. They are in the process of writing & recording and, prayerfully, will release their own project soon! Sister's mission is to use their music to share the message and the love of Christ with the world. Their vision is to help tear down the walls of race, denomination and genre within the Christian music industry. They also see the need for positive role models for other young people and feel that their ministry encourages this next generation to stand up for righteousness.
