Siobhan has been performing her heartfelt music since the tender age of fourteen, starting around her local South East London scene. She was encouraged to do so by her parents, whose 60s/ 70s eclectic record collection was a breath of fresh air, as opposed to the early nineties music she was subjected to, given her age. At seventeen, she sang lead vocals on an Alabama 3 song 'Bulletproof' from their album 'Power In The Blood'. That same year she signed a publishing deal with 4AD Music (home of the Pixies, Cocteau Twins, etc). Since then she has toured extensively around the UK and Europe, supporting artists as diverse as Evan Dando, Damien Dempsey, Roddy Frame, Mr David Viner, Jimmy Cliff, Glenn Tilbrook and The Magic Numbers.

Siobhan has recently signed to Irish label 'Celtic Collections' and has nearly completed her long awaited second album, due to be released later this year. Title tbc.

She released her debut album 'Repeat To Fade' on IRL (Sinead O'Connor, Tinariwen) in 2004. This was shortly follwed by a single, 'Piece Of Me'

Siobhan is currently recording her second album in Dublin, due to be released in September. Look out for new songs on this site.

'Reviews for Repeat To Fade:

'Her songs give the impression of having been soaked in whiskey, dust and turmoil for decades – with a spellbinding voice to match.' Drowned in Sound

'South-Londoner Parr has already collaborated with the likes of Grand Drive, Evan Dando and Alabama 3, who all fell for her rich, emotive vocal talent. She excels as a songwriter, and 'Repeat To Fade' combines folk, country, blues and southern soul vibes with intelligently written, late-night observations that belie her years.'

The Independent

'.and then there is the voice. Bearing in mind the tricks that can be done in a recording studio, it is pleasing to tell you that the powerful voice that belts out these songs is the real McCoy'.

Morning Star

'With a voice that carries far more depth and emotion than should be allowed in one do young, the nineteen year ‘old’ Siobhan Parr has created an album of songs that evoke a sound normally associated with American alt-country blues. Siobhan has a gorgeously powerful voice, the strength of the songwriting and the soulfulness oozes forth in every vibrant song to such an extent that they seem instantly familiar. This is a fabulous debut by a clearly talented woman'.” netrhythms.co.uk

'The country blues answer to Joss Stone, 19 year old Londoner Parr may be barely of legal drinking age but she has a voice that speaks of years soaking up Southern barroom whisky fumes. she could easily crack the Lucinda Williams crossover market if she felt the desire, but it's the bottle bruised blues of the funkily sleazed and slouched do right Woman I Am, the swaggering R&B veined Piece of Me and off the shoulder choppy Joplin soul of On The Move that likely most represent her heart and intentions. For which we and alcohol suppliers the world over should be truly appreciative'.Between the Planets.co.uk
