"Mind blowing. '4 am' is a classic, one of the nicest songs i have heard in the past decade."(Craig Sharpe-Weir, guitarist of "Icon A.D")
"An interesting and catchy melody, and a brilliant use of altered chords" (Mick Smith, BBC Radio Nottingham, talking about "Dragging My Feet")
"Think Damien Rice, but from Bournemouth and based in Derby" (Park Hall Live Press Release)

Simon Andrews is an acoustic singer/songwriter based in Derby.
Originally from Bournemouth, this mild mannered 25 year old has been gigging his unique brand of "Acoustica" for the past 5 years, in and around the midlands and has become somewhat of a household name on the Derby scene.
He is a graduate of the Academy of Contemporary music (along with "Newton Faulkner", "Reuben", and Amelle Berrabah from the "Sugababes") where he honed his musical talent.
His music has been compared to that of Damien Rice, John Mayer, and even James Taylor. With heart wrenching lyrics and the raw emotion of Simon's voice, joined with his solid and intricate guitar playing, Simon's songs stand out in what has become a very crowded genre of music.
"More than just a singer/songwriter, Simon Andrews is a musically gifted and lyrically accomplished performer who can captivate an audience withing seconds of playing" (Lee Howes, University of Derby Dusted Magazine)
His debut album,"Far From Home", was released in early 2006 to overwhelming applause. With a collection of heart breaking songs looking at everything from losing a loved one to life as a student, "Far From Home" sold fast with appearances on BBC Radio Nottingham, Derby, Leicester, and Lincoln, and it has now SOLD OUT of all the physical copies! (However it is still available for download.)
"Simon's songs have depth, weight and a future outside of the open mic circuit."(Ali Pow3rs, Derby based musician and organiser of the Union Blue and 5Lamps Open Mics)
