That short interlude on "Lamb lies down on broadway" you mostly don't pay much attention, I guess :-) I always loved the pastoral mood of the tune, and the mighty 8 choir from the Mellotron tapes. So I tried to make a kind or realtime solo-version with analogue synthesizer (Yamaha CS 30 for those who want to know what it is) and Mellotron. The Yamaha has two voices, and I used one as a solo sound for improvised licks (has nothing to do with what Steve Hackett played, but:) which replaced the guitar (sure, total different sound, I think it is a bit like Tony Banks solo sounds on other Lamb songs...The second voice is triggered by the 8-step sequencer to repeat and repeat the main motive all over again from beginning to end. Well, and Mellotron 8 choir :-) Yes, and I know, the basic motiv is in 9/8 (ore 9/4???), but my sequencer has only 8 steps, so this is the 4/4 version :-)
