PUBLISHED:  Jun 15, 2010
DESCRIPTION:
Kate Fletcher, Corwen Broch and Damh the Bard playing the Highland Widow's Lament at the OBOD Summer Gathering, Glastonbury Town Hall, 2010.

This is the song heard at the beginning of the original Wicker Man. It was first published around 1715 and according to Robbie Burns is concerned with the aftermath of the Glen Coe Massacre.

The high pitched singing on the refrain is coming from someone in the audience, they must have quite a pair of lungs!

Kate is playing a Stanford guitar with headway pick-up, Corwen plays an Acorn tin whistle and Damh is playing a Tonewood bouzouki.
