Sideproject

Sideproject is a Cork based post rock 5 piece which formed in early 2006.



The band has to date released two EPs 'Take Shelter From The Stars'

and ‘Not Waving But Drowning’ both recorded by the fantastic Ross O Donovan in Data Studios.



Since its formation the band has also been fortunate enough to have shared the stage with/toured with superb acts such as;

The band was also recently chosen to play at the Hard Working Class Heroes Festival 2008 along with acts such as Frightened Rabbit, Halves and Hooray for Humans.

'This Morning I Fell Down and Look at What I Found' is a floating instrumental so groovy you don't miss the vocals. Vocalist Tom Kavanagh shows up for 'Outpatients' and takes us through a fine song above a sinuous shifting ryhthm and guitars that build up to a regular stormfest. 'And Each Flame Concealed A Sinner' is another instrumental also dominated by guitars, but is a heavier, more accented outing, with hints of prog rock in the arrangement, but without that genre's often pointless pomposity.
