A shark attacks a seal near Nauset Beach in Orleans on Monday. Waltham city councilor Patrick O'Brien (dark trunks) rushes into the water to assist a surfer as the bleeding seal swims in his direction. No one was injured, but the seal's lifeless body later washed ashore. Shark attacks on seals are not unusual on the Cape. Video by Thayer Wade, courtesy of Patrick O'Brien.
