Kodie Shane has no problem feeling blue and that’s what her hit single “Sad” with Lil Yachty is all about. The 18-year-old Atlanta singer/rapper wrote the track when she was 13 although she doesn’t remember exactly what she was so bothered about. “I just know I came home and wrote this song, because it was how I was feeling,” she tells Genius. “Sad” was intended to show younger kids—"or just anybody"—that it’s okay to be sad sometimes, too.
