Suffering a case of Mental Origami
- Poetry in Motion by Matt Foley

Dramatic movements of unfolding layers,
framing creative impulses
well on their way to becoming
visual
cubicles of conceptual cogitation.
When seduced by calculus,
the captivating behaviour of particles
may tend toward the breathless,
as in a state of quantum randomness.
Mathematical progressions delineate
complexities that leave words
falling short,
with the exception of
poetry in motion.

Art; music, composed and performed; video; all other aspects - by Matt Foley

MATT FOLEY: perhaps he could be considered fictional, could certainly be considered imaginative. In a world with thousands of Matt Foleys (including a rather zany "motivational speaker" character portrayed by Chris Farley on the comedy program: Saturday Night Live), there is one that stands alone, an alchemical distillery of creative aplomb. In a world that often proves itself hostile to art and culture, Matt Foley demonstrates an aesthetic sangfroid. Unruffled by the rigors of fame and fortune, Matt Foley is oft considered an artists' artist - authentic, original - translating the myriad of visions he is subject to into forms of media others may find of interest.
