Sergio Schifano was born in Jenuary 31, 1985.
He began to play the piano at age of 6 and then guitar at age of 9.
He played in various groups and musical projects of different music styles as pop, rock, blues, jazz, ethnic, folk, electronics and experimental.
He studied classic guitar with M° Maurizio Norrito and Electronic Music with M° Giuseppe Rapisarda at Palermo's Conservatory "V. Bellini".
He studied guitar with Santi D'Angelo and Francesco Guaiana, and being attracted to Jazz, he attended the music school "Open Jazz Club" studying with Mimmo Cafiero.
In 2008, he moved to Rome and joined the course "Xam Jazz" at the Percento Musica School, where he had the opportunity to study with Umberto Fiorentino and Fabio Zeppetella, and in the Jazz Interplay course held by Ramberto Ciammarughi.
He has performed at festivals of: Realmonte Jazz School Meeting & Festival 2008, Lagnau Jazz Nights 2008, Upload Music Contest 2008, Fara Music 2009, Alatri Jazz Festival 2009, Casa Del Jazz, Villa Celimontana.
In 2009, with the project "Come Affair 4tet", he won the Fara Music Jazz Live Contest of Fara Sabina Festival.
