Items and Things return with Maread, the labelʼs twenty-third release and a label debut for Argentinean producer Seph. Hailing from Buenos Aires and having previously released on labels that include Dumb-Unit, Cityfox and igloo, Seph (real name Sebastian Galante) provides three exceptionally strong examples of melodically driven house and techno that jump from pole to pole along both the stylistic and tempo divides.
Maread rounds itself off with "Streets", a slow grooving slice of infectious electronic funk and a collaboration with fellow Argentinean producer Pablo Denegri. The trackʼs driving bass and FM chimes hit at the root, the early morning haze of the EP closer completing a memorable package of poignantly atmospheric cuts.
