DESCRIPTION:
Cynic were one of the early Progressive Death Metal bands around the Flordia scene back in the day, their complex song writing, the "futuristic-esque" effects used on the production and lyrics about the self, reality, space and the mind set them apart from most of the successful Death Metal bands around at the time and proved to the underground that big things were destined to this group of (back then!) teenagers. Unfortunately though, the band never really had a "big" break like say Death since this album was released in the early 90s but the band is still revered and admired to this day as one of the best Death Metal bands to come out of Florida.

I used a Fretless EQ/Modulator on my Zoom effects pedal to add the sort of "flatness/dullness" that a real fretless has, I then added a Fretless EQ on Logic Pro to increase the feel and overall sound, it worked in some respects but obviously nothing is as effective as a REAL Fretless bass guitar.
