My interest in music has been there since i can remenber but, it has been six years since i took up being a selector. For the first 2 years i was working with DJ Amarley(BBC 1XTRA) doing local parties, community events etc. Then I joined with my big brother & cousin as V. Rocket Millenium Squad, we had two local resident spots a week also a local radio show. Shortly after i joined i started working of most of the V. Rocket sessions with the chief selector Ruben & Val B As my experience grew i slowly but surely became the head selector of V.Rocket International, due to my commitment & dedication. Alot of my training & understanding of this business came from older heads like Ruben & Val B, also i used to study all types of sound tapes (i.e - dances, clashes etc.) V. Rocket is a veteran sound, it has been around over 35 years and has seen many sounds & artists come & go Due to the length of time V. Rocket being around we have built up a massive dubplate archive dating back from 1970's - Artists such as Nitty Gritty, Garnett Silk, Dennis Brown, Mighty Diamonds, Big Youth, King Kong, Abbasinians, Maxi Priest, John Holt, Sugar Minott, Ninja Man, Shabba Ranks, Super Cat, Junior Reid, Michael Rose, Beres Hammmond, Thriller U, Admiral Tibbet, Pad Anthony, Collin Roach, Cocoa Tea, Ken Boothe, Pinchers, Frankie Paul, Pliers to more recent, Jah Cure, Richie Spice, Tarrus Riley, Morgan Heritage, Natural Black, Gyptian, Duane Stephenson, Romain Virgo, Sizzla, Capleton, Bounty Killer, Beenie Man, Vybz Kartel, Busy Signal, Munga, Mad Cobra, Alozade, Movado, Serani, Assassin, Demarco, Sean Paul, Laden, Jah Vinchi, Mr Vegas, Bugle, too many to name.!!!!!
Since i have been a selector on V. Rocket i have played among most of the big sounds in the business - Stone Love, Bass Odyssey, Mighty Crown, Killaman Jaro, Black Kat, LP International, Coxsone, Saxson, One Love, Sentinel, David Rodigan, Tony Matterhorn, Ricky Troopa, Fire Links, Nico Bam Bam + many many more.
I have played in most cities in the UK, I have palyed in the US @ Club Amuzura (New York) for the 45 shoot out(early juggling), Miami (DOWNTOWN), Europe - Spain, Italy, France, Switzerland, Holland on many occasions.
I've got to thank god who enabled me to do what i love doin, and for giving me the talent & skills. Also endless love to my mum n dad who support me fully in what i do
