Song written in August 2016 and performed by me. During one weekend in August 2016, 6 people lost their lives to the sea because of storms, high tides etc at some UK seaside resorts. The sea is a very powerful entity and can take you completely by surprise.
Gonna get ourselves down to the beach
We'll take what we need, all within reach
And enjoy an afternoon of sunshine
Look at how inviting is the sea
Yes the weather's fine as it can be
We will soon be swimming quite carefree

The sea is looking beautiful and blue
Then suddenly a storm begins to brew
And we mustn't ever underestimate
We mustn't try to tempt the hand of fate
And ignore the savage lethality
And the mighty power of the sea
