The Second Chances Community Concert Band (Chris Ward, director) performing a free outdoor rehearsal/concert at Scott Manor House Museum in Bedford on July 20, 2016.
4. Celtic Air and Dance (arr. Michael Sweeney)

This informal summer performance marks the fourth year that the Second Chances Community Band Program of Nova Scotia has operated through the summer months. Far from a polished performance, the intention of these outdoor rehearsals is to get out, enjoy the sunshine and share some of the music that we have been working on with the public.

Who Are We?
The Second Chances Community Band Program of Nova Scotia is based in Halifax, Nova Scotia and is registered as an official non-profit organization. In addition to being the official community band of the Spryfield area, we also offer various levels of learning ensembles for adults and seniors, from the absolute beginner player right up to the more advanced. We also have a Jazz Band Program and a Percussion Ensemble.

Anyone interested in joining us and contributing to our community through music is welcome to do so. No auditions are necessary. Lessons for absolute beginners start each September.
