This recording was taken on April 13, 2014 at the Black Sparrow in Lafayette, IN. This concert was part of the Jazz Club of Lafayette's series of performances. The group is led by Ned Boyd on alto saxophone and features Jamie Newman on piano, Scott Pazera on bass and Kenny Phelps on drums.

The piece is John Coltrane's "Resolution". Jazz Appreciation Month for 2014 celebrates the 50 year anniversary of John Coltrane's release A Love Supreme.
