BH stands for Belo Horizonte, a city in the Brazilian state of Minas Gerais. The music of Minas is harmonically rich and strikingly melodic. Like the people of this region, their music is erudite and sophisticated, but also accessible and "homey." This piece is my tribute to the people and the region.
