Schneewittchen won critical acclaim and prizes in Germany for their performances and vocal abilities at renowned German art houses and institutions. Marianne Iser who is best described as a gothic Barbie, a high priestess combining bitter angry sentiments and tragic comedy at the same time. She wants to break taboos, provoke and confront. She rebels, screams and fights.
They are somewhere between Classic and Avant-garde, giving you very intriguing unexpected soundscapes: classic music, atmospheric, computer sounds, electronic beats, rock e-guitars and pounding techno basses, all interwoven with screeching metallic sound effects.
This art duo Marianne Iser and Thomas Duda offer their own fresh style of "New German Chansons" ranging from love songs to murderous sensations. Love them or hate them!

This is a very special video from the Album "Perlen vor die Säue". Done by the beautyfull Madame Pauline Payen, a French Art - Student from Toulouse. She met Schneewittchen one day in East Germany. After a Gig, the three took a dinner, and drank, talked and ate. The rest is history .

ballett.magdeburg meets Schneewittchen
The Cuban choreographer Gonzalo Galguera and Schneewittchen worked together on the project “Keine Schmerzen” (No Pains) in an opera- house in East-Germany. The idea of the project was to cross two kinds of art, one the Ballet and other the Concert. Next to each other, against each other and sometimes even together. “Of course, Schneewittchens music is uncommon for ballet platforms but it holds big potential for the dialog with the dance. We didnt want to blur the borders and the contrasts, but celebrate them consciously.” Gonzalo Galguera says. They even changed the roles, so that Marianne danced and the ballet group sang. Marianne: “The work was a big inspiration for me. The abstract contact with the body and the discipline has impressed me very much. I am sure there will be a song on this topic by Schneewittchen, someday.” The show took place from January to May 2007. “Keine Schmerzen” was viewed mainly by young people who have never entered a ballet or an opera-house in their life. "This was a kind of success " Marianne says and Gonzalo starts laughing. “The audience consisted of people, some have never seen a ballet performance before, others never been to a Schneewittchen concert. Inspiring these peoples was next to the delightful cooperation of Gonzalo and the Company the most exciting experience”. What about Thomas? He is still confused these days, mainly because he felt in love every day again: “Such wonderful dancers!” Check out this video and enjoy it.
