SCHIZMA is one of the longest running and most popular, also internationally Polish hard core bands.
The band was formed in 1990 in the city of Bydgoszcz. During two decades of its existence the band has gone thru a lot of line up changes, however since the beginning untill today it has been true to the non-conformist sound of hard core and the ethics of independence.
The band's output icludes 7 full length albums and many minor releases, however what SCHIZMA lives for are their blazin' live shows attracting crowds of devoted hard core fanatics. Apart from having toured across Poland many times, the band paid frequent visits to several European countries.
SCHIZMAs most exotic trip so far was the visit at Korean International Busan Rock Festival to play alongside Cannibal Corpse and Kreator in front of a crowd of 20 thousand people.
SCHIZMA is also a representative of domestic hard core scene, regularly supporting world's finest acts such as DRI, SOIA, Madball, Integrity, Terror to name a few. They also have promoted several tours introducing in Poland several rising, befriended European bands such as Jaylan, L'esprit Du Clan, Providence, Final Prayer or Length of Time.
Towards the end of 2008, being the oldest member of the band, Schizmaciek chose to leave the band. The year 2009 started with two new members in the line-up and the band working on new material to be recorded in fall 2010.
SCHIZMA to jeden z najdłużej działających i najbardziej znanych, również za granicą, polskich zespołów grających hard core.
Zespół powstał w 1990 roku, w Bydgoszczy, na gruncie punk rockowej KOMPANII KARNEJ. Przez dwie dekady istnienia grupa przeszła wiele zmian personalnych, jednak od początku istnienia do dziś pozostaje wierna bezkompromisowemu brzmieniu hard core i etyce niezależności.
W dorobku Bydgoszczan znajduje sie 7 dużych płyt oraz wiele mniejszych wydawnictw, jednak głównym elementem działalności SCHIZMY sa niezwykle żywiołowe, gromadzące wielu zagorzałych zwolenników koncerty. Oprócz częstych odwiedzin we wszystkich zakątkach naszego kraju, zespół wielokrotnie odwiedzał Niemcy i Francje, zanotował też wizyty w Czechach, na Łotwie, Litwie i w krajach byłej Jugosławii.
Najbardziej egzotyczną przygodą SCHIZMY była wizyta na International Rock Festival w Busan, w Korei, w 2002 roku, gdzie zespół wystąpił przed wielotysięczną publicznością u boku takich sław jak Cannibal Corpse czy Kreator.
SCHIZMA jest też reprezentacyjnym zespołem polskiej sceny hardcore, regularnie wspomagając, na koncertach w kraju, zagraniczne znakomitości typu Madball, DRI, Integrity, Sick of It All, Terror itd. Ma na koncie również szereg tras promujących na naszym podwórku wschodzące, zaprzyjaznione hordy europejskie, takie jak Jaylan, L'esprit Du Clan, Providence, Final Prayer czy Length of Time.
W 2009 rok, Schizma wchodzi w nowym składzie, pracując nad nowym materiałem, którego zarejestrowanie planowane jest latem 2010.
