We do not want to use myspace to bring out our asses and being a competitor in the race: whoooz the biggest number of profile views. We want to use it to have something alternative to our website. As many folks suprisely asked: don't you have your profile on mayzpace yet ??? :/ Finally we do have - check it out. We want to invite to cooperation musicians and other artists, interesting bands, tour managers all around the world and everybody who wants to support hc/punk scene.
We started in Bydgoszcz, Poland in 1992 when punkrock scene seemed to be more in underground and every little live punk act was mystic for us. We played mostly with crust punx, sxe, and hardcore bands. These times we were among very few bands playing epitaph tunes. 15 years of fuckin' up and what we have ???

You'll never know it. Every one of us is working in different areas to pay bills & taxes, but we are happy people I guess. We are also happy to see that this fuckin' myspace is viewed by people who really have somethin' to say, not only give a shit !!! So. se you maybe someday in real world



Yeah, yeah, yeah we know that there are a lot of bands under Upside Down name on the wide world, playing various kinds of pop, up to grind-core. In Poland Upside Down is associated with sunny and melodic and a little bit melancholic hard-core. We have worked on this for 15 years and always the most important thing for us there is and there will be the music. We are not concerned with changing the world for the better. We undertake all decisions on our band by ourselves, but we do not qualify us as the independent band, because in today's world this word is the abstraction. In the private life we are usual consumers, working for ugly capitalists, to have the cash for living and for our music.
We came into being in Bydgoszcz in summer 1992 as result of our fascination with the hard-core and punk culture. First – garage pieces skimmed to hard-core with strong influences of New York bands what resulted with demo cassette – "Illusion of happiness", recorded in September 1993 in Bydgoszcz. Texts are an effect of observations and considerations over matters of interpersonal relations and the spiritual sphere of human being. The following year brought the change of the musical style, which has been directed into the sound of Epitaph, Fat Wreck Chords, Hellcat, etc. The second tape - „Legalized" we also recorded in Bydgoszcz at spring, 1995. It has been accepted rapturously enough; all the more that at that time Upside Down had been an only band in the whole country which played so called Californian melodious hc/punk music. During this period we played a lot of concerts in all Poland together with the most of well-known punk bands in this country. We had supported such foreign crews as Varukers, H2O, Madball, Vision, Terrorgruppe, Battalion of Saints, Supertouch, King Prawn, 4 Walls Falling,
The year 1998 brought us the verbal contract with MAMI Records Company and the next "Do Gory Nogami (eng: Upside down)" material has been recorded in non-existent already, the legendary studio "Manta 2" under the supervision of the top producer of punk productions in this country – SMOK (the Dragon) from Post Regiment. The record is kept at the rate above 200 bpm, and texts refer to problems of young man, entering his "adult life".
We spent years 1999-2000 writing new songs and on occasional gigs. At this time a main objective was the improvement of our sound and the "honing" of workshops. In purpose of good exhibition of the wholeness, in March 2001 we left to Sweden (the Soundlab studio in Orebro), where we recorded 20 songs under the supervision of Mathias Farm from the Millencolin group, and result of this enterprise is the CD and MC, both under titled „The Puzzle" which has been issued under the trade mark of Mami Records. The record was promoted by the concert-route along with the Dezerter and Abaddon and by the video clip for the title song which has been broadcasted by the VIVA and MTV which was (or maybe is) the problem for some people who are too much involved in battle against system . After the opening night of the record we intensively gave a concerts and interviews for fanzines, musical magazines and TV and radio stations.
In the present list of members (Piotr bolero Boleski – bass, voc; Maciej maly Brzezinski - drums; Michal brombastic Lutrzykowski and Bartek bartass Debicki on guitars and vocs and Krzysztof model Kornak - manager) in March and April 2005 we have been recorded the material for the subsequent record in Taklamakan studio in Opalenica. „Master Copy" has been issued as the edition of MAMI Records in September 2005. For the presence of the second guitar and the vigilant eye of Pearl (producer from Guess Why), we obtained the best sound till now. The record includes 14 songs in different climates: from melodious hard-core through punk rock up to rock'n'roll. To keep the covering tradition of old hits, at this time we transformed Queen's „ I want to break free". The promotion route of this record included circa 20 greater cities and resulted with new contacts and skills. 2 years of touring and another idea comes out: let's play unplugged. Show took place in famous aternative club mozg on 26/04/2007. We invited 2 additional musicians: mihoo - percusion and marcin on boards and violins. Everything was recorded audio and video. The new record called 'inaczej' [completely different] has been released right after our 15th anniversary followed by some shows in acoustic formula. Actually UD is working on new songs to put out next cd someday
