Hi Folks! This first-take, unedited, raw, unfinished demo didn't make the cut for the new album "Metaphysics" but it so perfectly speaks to the theme of my most recent Pledge essay that I've posted it as part of that update. For Pledgers first of course! Eeep. Scary moment - as I never post anything rough or un-produced. Cold sweats.

When I wrote it, I was imagining the extremes in our current world of privilege and poverty - and how, weirdly and poignantly, subjects at both poles are often in precisely the same pain. In Cohen's words "leaning out for love" and we will "lean that way forever".

This demo was co-produced by Sarah Slean and Daniel Romano, engineered by Kenneth Roy Meehan at the Old Sumbler House in Niagara, ON. Daniel also wrote the bridge because he's good like that.
