BIO
Sarah Jo is a rising female artist in contemporary music. Sarah Jo was first discovered when signed into an international modeling agency at age 13. Though radiant in front of the camera, she chose to quit focusing her talents by expressing herself through singing, writing poetry/lyrics, and composing music. In her own words, "I have always felt this internal beat, or drive, to change the world through my music. I couldnt imagine living my life, doing anything else."
Sarah Jo's unwavering determination to follow her musical dreams stems from what she refers to as her wake-up call. At age 17, Sarah Jo was involved in a triple-roll-over car accident, which nearly took her life. After gaining clarity from this soul-searching experience, Sarah Jo says, I have been blessed to see my life through the eyes of death. Given that perspective, there is nothing to hold me back on this earth and no fear great enough to conquer my desire to be all that I can be. As a result she is now on path as a successful singer, songwriter, lyricist, stage performer, and recording artist.
In 2006 Sarah Jo laid down her first single, You Put A Move On My Heart (originally released by Tamia in 98). After gaining attention from this breakout recording Sarah continued writing her own music and performing all over Arizona and California, including venues like, national anthem for Dodgers vs. Diamondbacks Chase Stadium, musical guest, model and media host at Seth Riggs Vocal Camp, and Internet Radio. She is currently set to record her multi-track EP, to be released late 2010.
While developing her music career Sarah has not stayed shy of the camera continuing to model and do commercial work, latest booking Dove Haircare (currently airing nationally).
Sarah Jo is a natural entertainer, her presence on-stage is undeniable. Her original music shares personal messages of love, life, and passion. Her lyrics are rich and truthful, showing her raw emotion and mature view of life.
