Samson and Sejour

Samson and Sejour is an American hiphop group. The duo hails from New York, more specifically from Brooklyn (SEJOUR) and Queens (SAMSON). Active from birth, they rap about the hard times in their communities fused with delicate melodies and honest lyrics. There is nothing like taking on big issues, and that's exactly what they do through their music. Their biggest social/political issue is ending violence and abuse against women.



Samson was raised in Southside Queens and won several rap competitions, including Video Music Box in the late 90's. Sejour made some serious music contacts coming up in the hiphop world. They decided to join forces to form a group because they shared the same passion in music, and, most importantly real recognized real. They are working with GRAMMY-winning artist Miri Ben-Ari (The Hiphop Violinist) who is co-producing the album. More notable producers involved in this highly-anticipated project include Mark Ronson, Armand Van Helden and Todd Terry. Some of their influences are Hiphop Greats form the 90's era. Their music reminds people of the early 90's fused with today's Pop music. They are not the "Next Big Thing"; they have already arrived. They will be remembered as one of the prominent acts in East Coast Hiphop. The music reflects the real struggles they face everyday, including family tragedy. Samson, losing his mother to cancer recently and Sejour losing his father to a heart attack inspires both artists to create an album that inspires others. There is a combination of Jazz, Gospel, Blues, Funk, Rock, Hiphop, Rap and Pop evident in their music. These Kings of HipHop Soul are just beginning to make waves - stay tuned for the big show!
