So how do you write a short intro without sounding (a) arrogant, (b) sad or (c) twee ? I was born and raised in South Yorkshire and have been writing songs and singing for a few years now. Initially I kept getting frustrated at not being able to replicate other people's songs. Then it dawned on me that no-one does Bob Dylan better than Bob Dylan or John Lennon better than John Lennon. That's when I decided to write my own things. I've been influenced Stephen Fretwell, Martha Wainwright and The Jayhawks. New songs should appear at regular intervals.I hope you enjoy one man and his guitar singing simple songs about complex things.

I also perform with Sizzling Samosas, a collaboration with Keiran Moses and Stu Hall .
