DESCRIPTION:
Soul City is one of the most exciting function bands in the South East. A seven piece soul/funk band of hugely talented pro musicians who, between them, have played and recorded with an impressive list of artists (Jules Holland, Amy Winehouse, Will Young, Roy Ayers, Alexander O'Neal, Alice Russell, De La Soul, Nitin Sawney, Viola Wills, Turin Brakes The Freemasons and Quantic Soul to mention a few!).
Young, energetic and, not to mention, good-looking, they are regularly booked to play at weddings, parties, functions and clubs all over the UK. The front line are a dynamic and charismatic combination of the awesome voice of Christabel Cossins on lead vocals, band leader and Rob (Dragonfly) Heasman on trumpet (whose nickname comes from his ability to effortlessly soar over the notes), and the musically gifted Richard Beesley on saxophone. The back line are funkier than grandma's bloomers, with world class drummer Sam Glasson keeping time on drums! This band will keep you and your guests spellbound and dancing all night, and "one more" will never be enough!
